Treat a table like a product interface
Describe a production dataset as a data product with owner, consumers, semantics, tests, and reliability promises.
The move: publish an interface, not just a table. A production dataset should answer five questions before a consumer builds on it: who owns it, what it means, who it is for, how reliable it is, and how it changes. These are product questions, not documentation chores. The most important detail is grain.
