Recover attention deliberately

Choose restorative breaks that reduce directed attention fatigue instead of adding stimulation.

Rest is an attention design choice. Attention Restoration Theory explains why some breaks refresh and others leave you more fragmented. Directed attention gets tired because it must suppress competing stimuli. Soft fascination gives attention something gentle to rest on without demanding control.
