Fair process beats hero programs
Use organizational justice dimensions to diagnose why a DEI effort feels fair or unfair.
The move: diagnose fairness through four channels, not through intent alone. Outcomes are only one fairness signal A program may improve representation and still create distrust if the way people enter the program is opaque or inconsistent. Distributive justice matters, but it is not the full story. Process and explanation carry trust Procedural justice asks whether the method is consistent, unbiased, correctable, and based on relevant information.
