The move: route by consequence, not by noise. Urgent is not the same as important Patients, portals, vendors, staff, and payers all create urgency signals. Importance is different: it asks what the message affects if ignored or delayed. A practice that only follows urgency will over-serve loud low-risk work and under-protect quiet high-risk work.
