Design one more way in

Revise an early-childhood activity so children can engage through multiple means without lowering the learning goal.

The move: vary the route, not the learning goal. UDL asks teachers to design for learner variability before a child hits a barrier. In early childhood, variability is not an exception. It is the classroom. Children differ in language, movement, sensory comfort, attention, prior experience, and confidence. Keep the goal visible The goal should say what thinking or skill children are practicing. "Compare two attributes" is clearer than "complete the leaf worksheet."
