Keep the distance words straight

Recall the core vocabulary used to explain embedding search behavior.

Core term What is an embedding vector? Recall the basic object. A list of floating-point numbers that represents text or another item in a learned space. The vector enables mathematical comparison; it is not itself an explanation or answer. Do not mix these Similarity score vs. confidence A high-similarity chunk can still be stale, unauthorized, or incomplete. Metric What does cosine similarity compare?
