Compress the path, not the loudest task

Use critical path logic to decide which schedule recovery action will actually protect a design milestone.

Schedule pressure Survey is five days late. Drainage is noisy, utilities are quiet, and the client wants a recovery plan by 4 p.m. The wrong recovery action can spend money while leaving the real finish date unchanged.
