Use a ten-minute rule to decide whether feedback should happen now, soon, or later.
Fast enough to be specific; calm enough to be useful. A ten-minute feedback window works because the receiver can still replay the scene. They remember who was present, what was said, and what happened next. That makes SBI easier and reduces debate about intent. The danger is using immediacy as a license for emotional discharge. If your note contains a label like careless, defensive, or sloppy, you are probably not ready. Convert it to behavior first.
