Decision-Useful Before Detailed

Use decision-usefulness and qualitative characteristics to decide what a financial report must emphasize.

The move: build for usefulness before completeness. The IFRS Conceptual Framework says general purpose financial reporting is meant to provide useful information to capital providers. Inside a company, the same discipline applies: a report should help a reader decide, not simply admire the accounting work. Relevance Relevant information can change a decision.
