The move: finish most of the speed decision before the turn begins. A forklift operator has to preserve three things at once: truck control, load stability, and pedestrian separation. OSHA’s traveling rules connect all three. Keep control, maintain a clear view, slow and sound the horn at obstructed cross aisles, reduce speed on wet floors, and reduce speed while turning. The timing is the skill. If you enter the corner too fast, braking and steering happen together.
