Assess a generative AI workflow by identifying output risk, source reliability, impact, and required human review.
The reframe: AI risk lives in the workflow, not just in the model. A generated paragraph is not risky in isolation. It becomes risky when someone uses it to decide, approve, publish, charge, hire, diagnose, negotiate, or reassure. NIST's AI RMF asks organizations to make risks visible, measured, governed, and managed.
