Process rasters in windows, not wishes
Plan a raster analysis that reads only needed windows and preserves georeferencing.
A 38 GB land-surface-temperature raster must be summarized for three urban heat zones on a laptop. Windowed raster workflow: identify area of interest, read intersecting windows, preserve transform and nodata, summarize or write with updated profile. Loading the full raster into memory creates failure pressure and encourages shortcuts that drop georeferencing or nodata handling.
