Set type for reading, not just looking
Improve a text-heavy graphic using typographic readability principles.
The move: treat type as an interface for reading. A typographic decision is good when it helps the text do its job. For body copy, the job is usually sustained reading. For captions, it is explanation. For headlines, it is orientation. For labels, it is fast identification. Use four checks. Alignment: a stable left edge helps the eye find the next line.
