Reframe: do not install an idea; audition it. A new ice-cream shop routine should start as a small test, not a memo. PDSA turns a good hunch into evidence by asking what you expect, what actually happened, and what you will change next. Plan Name the narrow problem, the prediction, and the measure. For example, the problem is a backed-up topping handoff; the prediction is that pre-portioned sprinkle cups will reduce order time; the measure is average seconds from scoop to payment for ten orders.
