Use the Yes, and pattern to accept the usable part of an offer before adding direction.
The move: accept the offer, then shape it. In improvisation, an offer is anything another person puts into the shared scene. At work, offers arrive as half-formed ideas, emotional signals, objections, data points, mistakes, and jokes that do not land. The untrained reflex is to judge the offer immediately: "that will not work," "we tried that," or "not the point."
