Use GDPR purpose limitation as a product brake
Evaluate whether a new data use fits the original collection purpose.
Data in the warehouse is not automatically data for every idea. Purpose limitation protects user expectation and business credibility. It asks whether the new use is compatible with why the data was collected, what the user was told, and whether a smaller dataset can achieve the same business result. What to scan Use a short checklist: who is affected, what the user sees, what data or content moves, what promise the company makes, and what evidence you would need if challenged. Common trap Teams often debate risk level before they have facts. A two-minute fact map usually changes the answer.
