Treat known errors as reusable assets

Create a known error record that reduces repeat incident handling time and supports prevention.

The move: turn recurrence into reusable knowledge. Repeat incidents are a signal that the service system is paying the same cost over and over. Problem management exists to reduce that cost. It does not need to wait for a perfect root cause before it helps. Once a pattern is recognizable and a workaround is reliable, create a known error record. What belongs in a known error Use a tight structure: symptom pattern, affected service or configuration item, business impact, suspected or confirmed cause, workaround, detection clues, linked incidents, and prevention owner.
