Run a light point-factor calibration
Use a simple factor comparison to discuss job value without confusing role value and person value.
Two roles are being treated as equivalent because both are individual contributors, but their accountability profiles differ. Same factors, same evidence standard The common trap is comparing departments, people, or titles instead of the job factors. Visibility is not the same as consequence. Performance is not the same as job value. Pick factors Use five factors: knowledge depth, complexity, autonomy, consequence of error, and stakeholder influence.
