Interpret the four core flow metrics without jumping to blame.
Metrics should improve the next question, not end the conversation. The teach Flow metrics describe system behavior first; use them to ask better questions before assigning causes. The four flow metrics are diagnostic, not verdicts. WIP may show overload. Throughput may show delivery rate. Cycle time may show elapsed delivery experience. Age may show current risk.
