Triage the matter intake queue before it triages you
Classify incoming law-firm requests by urgency and importance before assigning work.
The move: triage by consequence before you triage by noise. The Eisenhower Matrix gives an intake desk a simple filter: urgent versus not urgent, important versus not important. In a law-firm setting, urgent means time-sensitive enough that delay creates a near-term failure. Important means tied to legal risk, client trust, revenue, compliance, or a material relationship.
