Respect people by making work easier
Explain respect for people as improving the work system with the people who do the work.
The move: Respect shows up as better work design, not nicer slogans. Lean combines customer value with respect for the people doing the work. Respect is practical, not sentimental: go see the work, ask what makes good work hard, remove waste, and build capability so people can improve their own process.
