See the whole value stream
Use current-state and future-state thinking to improve the whole flow, not one isolated step.
The move: If you improve a step but not the stream, the customer may feel no improvement. Value stream mapping diagrams the material and information flows needed to bring a product or service from request to delivery. Its power is scope.
