Use a work breakdown structure to decompose a masonry job into bid-ready deliverables and exclusions.
The move: estimate deliverables, not vibes. A work breakdown structure helps a contractor define the whole job before pricing the parts. Start with the finished result the customer expects, then break it into deliverables that can be counted, assigned, and checked. For masonry, useful buckets often include site setup, access, protection, demolition, substrate or footing readiness, material handling, wall or repair work, caps or flashing, cleaning, waste, punch, and closeout.
