Make learners retrieve before you reassure
Add a retrieval moment that asks the learner to produce or choose before seeing the answer.
The move: ask for recall before you reveal. Retrieval practice is the difference between "I recognize this" and "I can use this when it appears." In microlearning, the best retrieval prompts are small and situated. They do not ask, "What was the definition?" unless the definition is the real work. They ask, "Which response applies the rule here?" or "What is the next step in this case?" Good retrieval has three parts: a cue, a response, and feedback.
