Make one idea per note
Create atomic linked notes that express one idea and connect it to related work.
The move: split the idea from the event that produced it. Zettelkasten-style systems work because notes become a network of ideas, not a pile of documents. The smallest useful unit is a note that can stand alone and still make sense. Claim title Name the idea as a sentence, not a vague label. "Reporting continuity drives migration anxiety" is more useful than "Migration notes." Own words Rewrite the idea so it is yours. Copying a quote is evidence; explaining the point is thinking.
