Factor recall What does availability answer? Was the equipment running during planned production time? Availability losses include unplanned stops and planned stops such as setup and adjustments. What does performance answer? When running, did the equipment produce at ideal cycle time? Performance losses include slow cycles and small stops that add up below the downtime threshold. What does quality answer? Of the total output, how much was good the first time? Quality loss includes process defects and reduced yield after startup or changeover.
