Distinguish process safety signals from personal safety signals during daily operations.
The move: do not let good personal safety numbers hide weak process safety barriers. Oil and gas operations depend on layers of protection. Some layers protect people from immediate task hazards. Others prevent, detect, control, or mitigate loss of containment, fire, explosion, toxic exposure, and environmental release.
