Write a rubric learners can use before submitting

Fifty-one submissions arrive with the same avoidable error: learners cited examples but never connected them to the criterion. Learner-facing rubric: criterion, evidence, self-check, example The trap is treating the rubric as a grading document only. If learners see it only after submission, it cannot guide performance. Criterion Rewrite “analysis quality” as “Names the decision, cites evidence, and explains the consequence.” The criterion becomes observable.
