Find the heat-seal window without one-factor guessing
Use design of experiments thinking to define a heat-seal process window across interacting factors.
New compostable film has inconsistent seals. Response measures are seal strength, leak rate, and visual tunneling. Suspected factors are temperature, dwell, and pressure. DOE: define response, choose factors, set ranges, run planned combinations, interpret main effects and interactions Changing temperature alone assumes the other factors do not interact.
