Know the legal information boundary

Distinguish legal process information from legal advice in client-facing communication.

The move: split process from advice. A clean client answer has two lanes. The first lane is legal information: what has been filed, what documents are needed, what deadline is coming, what the next scheduled step is, or what the attorney has already instructed you to communicate. The second lane is legal advice: what the client should choose, whether a claim is strong, whether a settlement is good, or what a judge is likely to do.
