Sort: red flags by layer

Distinguish different kinds of phishing evidence instead of treating all “red flags” as one bucket.

Place each clue in the right layer of the phishing check. Sender Message Link or destination Demanded action Display name matches a real executive but the address uses an unfamiliar domain The email asks for secrecy around a payment request Hovering shows a URL that does not match the service named in the email The message asks you to log in, approve MFA, or send gift-card codes immediately The “from” header does not line up with the visible sender name The note tells a story about an urgent billing or security problem The attachment or page is hosted somewhere your…
