Calculate the facing gap
Calculate and document a facing variance against the planogram.
Premium granola is observed with five facings at eye level. The planogram assigns it three facings. The neighboring gluten-free SKU is missing from its assigned two-facing home. Planned facings minus observed facings exposes over-allocation, hidden out-of-stocks, and planogram drift. Do not call the bay compliant because the eye-level shelf looks full. Fullness can hide that one SKU borrowed another SKU's assigned facings. Identify planned count Planogram: premium granola = three facings; gluten-free granola = two facings.
