Use standard work as a baseline for coaching, variation control, and improvement.
You cannot improve a process you cannot describe consistently. The teach Standardized work is the current best-known way to do the work safely, with the expected sequence, timing, quality checks, and inventory points visible. It is not meant to freeze improvement or erase operator judgment. It creates a shared baseline so the team can see variation.
