Identify damaged or defective PPE and remove it from use before the task begins.
The task is short, but the shield is not reliable. Find the defect that should stop use of this PPE before work starts. Cracked face-shield headband Correct. A cracked or loose suspension can shift the shield during exposure, so the PPE is not reliable. Clean replacement shield in cabinet This is actually the fix. Replacement PPE should be used once the damaged item is removed from service.
