RICE What does RICE stand for? Reach vs. Impact: which question is which? Reach is breadth; impact is depth. This is strategic, so it should outrank the scored list. Your line It may be strategic. Let’s name the strategic exception or add the missing reach, impact, confidence, and effort evidence. Do not pretend the score decided something it was not designed to decide. You respect strategy while keeping exceptions explicit. Why does Confidence matter? It discounts unsupported optimism. A huge guessed impact should not outrank a smaller well-evidenced improvement without a deliberate bet.
