Measure the behavior, not the chain
Define useful success measures for a prompt chain using output, behavior, and business result signals.
The move: judge chains by work transfer. The Kirkpatrick Model separates reaction, learning, behavior, and results. For prompt chaining, that means you should not stop at "the chain ran" or "the user liked it."
