Find the service-flow bottleneck

Use a service blueprint lens to locate the queue step that creates excess waiting.

The move: trace the wait through the whole service flow. A service blueprint separates what the customer does, what staff do in view, what staff do out of view, and what support systems must complete. This is useful in queues because the visible line often gets blamed for delays created somewhere else. Use four questions. Where does the customer enter?
