Mehrabian Without the Myth
Explain the limit of the 7-38-55 model and apply it to mixed attitude signals.
The move: treat 7-38-55 as a mismatch detector. Words matter. Tone matters. Body matters. Mehrabian's model is strongest when the message is about liking, confidence, support, concern, or another attitude. It is weakest when people use it as a universal claim that facts barely matter. Channel Check Ask three questions: What did they say? How did the voice carry it? What did the body do at that moment? When the channels conflict, pause before closing the decision.
