Do not call it recyclable until the system can use it
Distinguish technically recyclable materials from materials that are recoverable in the local collection, sorting, and market system.
The move: treat recyclability as a chain, not a label. Life-cycle thinking asks what happens across the full path of a product or material. In recycling operations, that means a claim must survive the real path: bought, used, contaminated or kept clean, placed in the right container, collected, tipped, sorted, baled or processed, shipped, and bought as feedstock.
