Run the Shift Like a Learning Loop
Explain how to use PDCA to improve a recurring restaurant shift problem without turning every shift into a new experiment.
Treat the restaurant as a live system, not a nightly surprise. PDCA gives managers a way to learn without constantly improvising. Plan: shrink the problem A useful plan names one friction point, one target, and one change. "Improve service" is too broad. "Reduce entree handoff time from six minutes to four minutes during the 7:00 rush by assigning one runner" is clear enough to test.
