Set the reorder point before the last toner is gone
Calculate a reorder point using average usage, supplier lead time, and safety stock.
9V toner is used at 2 tubes per day. Supplier lead time is 3 days. The salon wants 2 tubes of safety stock. Reorder point = average daily usage x lead time + safety stock The team waits until the shelf looks low, but "low" depends on who is looking and what tomorrow requires. Daily usage Average usage = 2 tubes per day. Use issue history or a conservative estimate from booked services. Lead-time demand 2 tubes/day x 3 lead-time days = 6 tubes.
