Build a Risk-Control Matrix That Actually Explains the Risk
Construct a SOX risk-control matrix row that links assertion risk to control evidence.
A vague RCM row says "revenue wrong" and lists a monthly review, but it does not connect account, assertion, risk, control activity, or evidence. Significant account -> relevant assertion -> what could go wrong -> precise control -> evidence -> test plan. The common trap is filling every RCM column with generic nouns.
