Separate the heat from the point
Convert a charged reaction into a specific PREP contribution that the meeting can use.
The move: translate the heat before you speak. A charged reaction usually contains a signal. "This is unfair" may mean workload is hidden. "This is reckless" may mean the risk has not been tested. "This is political" may mean the decision criteria are unclear. Do not ignore the signal; refine it. Use a two-step pause. First, name the hot sentence privately. Second, ask: what is the meeting-relevant point? Then use PREP: point, reason, example, point. For example: "That is completely unfair" becomes "QA capacity is the risk.
