Reduce a synthetic data specification to the minimum columns needed for the approved task.
Minimum viable columns means the dataset contains only the fields needed for the approved synthetic-data job. The filter Ask four questions for every field. Does this field directly support the task? If not, remove it. Does the task need the exact value or only a category? If category is enough, generalize it. Could this field reveal a person through a rare combination? If yes, remove or coarsen it. Could a downstream team misuse this field as if it were production truth? If yes, add a boundary or remove it.
