Recall when to use basic calculations, LOD expressions, and table calculations.
LOD vs table calculation Ask whether the metric belongs to the data grain or the visible table. “Can’t we just use FIXED for every tricky metric?” Your line “FIXED is powerful, but if the question is rank or running movement across visible marks, a table calculation is the natural tool.” Overusing FIXED can freeze the wrong scope and confuse filters.
