Trim the hedges without losing kindness
Remove hedges that blur a message while preserving respectful warmth.
A hedged request becomes direct without turning cold. Before: the request is cushioned until the action is unclear. After: the request is direct, reasoned, and still respectful. Hedges were cut. "Maybe," "just," and "when you get a chance" were replaced by a clear action. The reason was added. A reason carries warmth better than extra cushioning because it respects the reader's judgment. The fallback was named. If the time will not work, the recipient has a clear alternative response. Direct can be warm when the reader gets the action, reason, and fallback.
