Use a service blueprint to diagnose why a visible guest touchpoint keeps failing.
The move: stop asking front-line staff to compensate for invisible process gaps. A service blueprint has four layers: guest action, frontstage staff action, backstage action, and support system. In tourism, support systems may be reservation data, supplier confirmations, coach bay permits, payment status, rooming lists, radios, inventory, and weather alerts. Blueprinting works because service quality is produced by coordination. Guests see the host, guide, driver, or concierge, but the reliability of that interaction depends on data and decisions made earlier.
