Select wireframe fidelity based on the type of uncertainty in the design decision.
Fidelity is a learning budget. Spend it where the uncertainty is. A sketch is not immature. A high-fidelity prototype is not automatically better. Each fidelity level changes what people notice. Rough sketches invite structural feedback because nobody believes the details are final. Mid-fidelity wireframes make hierarchy and copy visible without implying a finished visual system.
