Work a NIOSH RWL estimate by inspection
Use NIOSH lifting equation factors to reason about whether a recommended weight limit will rise or fall.
A tote starts on the floor, sits forward from the worker, and is lifted to a waist-height cart several times per minute. In the NIOSH equation, task conditions multiply the recommended weight limit down from ideal conditions. Improving height and reach should move the limit upward. Do not treat the tote weight as the whole assessment. A moderate load with a floor origin and far reach can be worse than a heavier load staged well.
