Know when to use RULA versus REBA
Select RULA or REBA based on whether the task is mainly upper-limb or whole-body posture risk.
The move: match the screen to the posture pattern. Use RULA when the main concern is upper-limb and workstation posture: arm elevation, forearm angle, wrist deviation, neck position, trunk support, repetition, static muscle use, and force. It is a strong first lens for computer work, bench work, hand tools, inspection, and packing. Use REBA when the task pulls in more of the body: trunk bend, leg posture, shifting balance, whole-body reach, load handling, coupling, and variable movement.
